Hi everyone,
my name is Valeria, i am an italian pastry chef who moved in Uk at the beginning of her carreer, almost 6 years ago now.
I have started this carrer quite late, 'cause i prefered to finish to take my math degree first, before switching, the reason why i did it it's because i don't like to leave pending things, i prefer to finish everithing i am starting. That's the reason why you should follow me, i might not be very consistent with publishing contents, but i am sure i will not give up on my blog.
Why did i decided to open a blog now? I am not going to lie, the reason is the special situation we are living nowadays, i am home since end of March, so i got more time to cook, i publish all my dished on instagram, and quite often people ask me for recipes, i  do have an italian blog too, but most of my instagram follower speack english, so for me would just be easier to have an english space where i can share all my recipes with people who ask for it.
It will be my world, were time stops and it looks almost like everything is back to normal.
Because i know i have to forget normality as I was used to live it, eventually at a certain point i will go back to work, but i won't be able to hug my colleagues, or to touch food with my hands without a glove, to smell the sweetness of a fresh mango  without a mask; but it's fine, it's for keep everyone safe, i am ready to do that. On the other side, i hope that people will start coming to the restaurant again, or to order online, cause the thing which scars me the most it is actually to lose my job due to lack of business.
I choose it as a carreer 'cause it is my passion and i have always thought as well that this kind of business will always need people, I didn't consider to live a world pandemic of this proportion.
In the worst case scenario I still know i will survive in some way, I had to change so many time pattern in my life that i know i will figure it out what to do next anytime as i have always done.
So that's what it is going to be this blog: a save space where i can share the recipes i try with you, most of them belongs to famous pastry chefs, but there will be even some arranged by me, mainly with leftovers of preparations from other recipes, 'cause in my flat be don't wast anything.
During this lockdown period, we have experienced as well the lack of ingredinets in supermarkets, but i have found lanty of nice company online who do home delivery, it takes a while but they are still very reliable, so don't esitate to ask me even this kind of questions, if you don't find some of the igredients in my recipes.

I end up my first post with a picture of myself, it is aways good to know who is talking to you, in my opinion!
